Only a few days until we head back to New York for 10 days. My laptop is gonna let me work full time while there which is great because I’m extremely busy and don’t even have time to do nice renders of pieces. Trying to focus on my workflows for pieces to increase my speed and style without worrying about final beautifully rendered pieces that normally take a day or two to complete. Back to work I go! New pieces in the gallery today!

Wow it’s August already? School starts again at the end of this month and I have so much to do before I start. It’s going to be extremely difficult to balance my new very busy schedule with school work. What’s more important? Well money and bills silly, but I have to make an effort to focus on school as well.
I’m still refraining from posting new work here because I’m so busy I can barely see straight half the time. New work is being pumped out and unfortunately I can’t show the most impressive piece I’ve ever built until January when it’s released. I spent an unprecedented 7 weeks working on the piece. (For those unaware I make most of my miniatures in 3-5 days so this is quite different for me)
Heading back to New York for 10 days in 2 weeks and I was terrified about leaving my work for that long so I bit the bullet and bought a laptop so now I’m mobile! No excuses ever. It’ll also allow me the new idea of working in coffee shops and not being chained to my desk. Pretty excited about that possibility.
Well this render is just about done, suppose I can give you a preview of it. Back to work I go!

Wow! I need two of me! I am taking a break from attempting to update my portfolio and my social media so I can 100% focus on cranking out work. I’ve never been this busy before and it seems to pour when it rains as the saying goes because this all came about the same week I was moving. Things are calming down now and all I want to do is work and job hunt! Back to work I go.

I’m still trying to catch up with my work from the move, it’s insanely busy every night over here building Ikea furniture and organizing our belongings. For the first time ever we really love our apartment and we’re attempting to turn it into something we’re really proud of.
I still need to add in multiple portfolio pieces and update some other aspects of my site. Also I need to network while I’m in this month’s 3D Creative Magazine!

About 6 weeks until school and I haven’t touched my thesis! I haven’t exactly been sitting here twiddling my thumbs though, I’ve picked up more clients and taken on more jobs than ever before. I’m going to have to find a balance when school comes around because I have a little over a year left and I need to push myself.
I added in 3 new portfolio pieces and have another 5 in progress right now, just need to find a few hours where I can do some nice renders of them. Finally getting some game assets into this portfolio which is nice because I have the skill set but never get a chance to use it.
The pieces below are for Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire. I am a character artist and weapon artist for them and have a few more pieces to create before their game launches on Steam in just 6 weeks! It’s come a long way since Alpha and I can’t wait to see it at launch with all my models in it!

Lots of updates soon! 5 new portfolio pieces and 2 reworked pieces.
ALSO! I am in this month’s 3D Creative Magazine! Super honored and I am gonna push myself harder than ever to improve as quickly as I can and be worth a spot in this magazine! Cheers.
Come back soon for the updates!

Summer is definitely under way right now and after 2 months of intense searching we managed to find a new apartment in the city! I’ve never worked this hard for an apartment before. (Bridget worked three times as hard as me)
I’m working really hard to keep up with all my clients, my 2 longest clients just asked for more work to be done on their projects which is AWESOME. But now I find myself with much less time for anything other than art! Great to have the work, I’m pressing forward as hard as I possibly can to create great art for all my clients while keeping some form of sanity and wrist functionality.
I should have… 3 new gallery pieces by Monday up and posted, possibly 4? Depends on who lets me show what. Can’t wait to show the new work! Toys, Miniatures and Game Assets!
Cheers!

I’m currently hard at work on 4 different projects with 2 more getting thrown into the mix this week. There should be some pretty awesome work added to my portfolio over the next month and I’m really excited about these new projects. Having all this work is spectacular and it’s always very validating as an artist to be approached by new clients. Stop back soon and see all the new work I’ll be posting!

Lots of changes are taking place with my art, I’m trying to finish more pieces and display them in more interesting ways. I have a whole heap of new clients with jobs starting from mid June to the end of July so it should be interesting attempting to balance the workload evenly throughout my client list.
I’m applying to jobs as always in the bay area without any luck. I’m hoping that after I have my interview in 3D Creative next month with the combined exposure from a few kickstarters going I might.. maybe… have a job?
This weekend I’m doing my first tutorial, weapon creation. I’ve decided to do an elaborate warhammer which I’ll be designing later today. I think I might take this tutorial all the way to finished low poly piece if I have time. I need more game assets in my portfolio anyways.
Stop back soon for my new tutorial and more portfolio pieces! Cheers.

As you may know I’m doing lots of renders right now, today should be the last day so I can get back to producing some new art instead of polishing my old art! I am happy with how things are turning out and I really hope my new renders impress potential employers. I’ll do a larger update later on, my brain is a bit fried with all this rendering work, I see everything in layers!
